On Tuesday 13th of October, Station F presented to the world 40 of its most promising startups: the Future 40.
This first edition aimed to put forward the 'True Rising Stars' that will most likely shape the future of tech.
40 founders have been asked to pitch, here is what we gathered.
Selection was hard as a thousand projects are currently incubated.
Station F director Roxanne Varza specifies: the 40 were selected on their growth, team potential and early stage status.
Amongst the selected projects, none had gone through external financing exceeding one million Euros, and a vast majority of them actually didn't even make profit in January.
The message is clear: Station wishes to carry hope in young projects which ideas and teams are thought to skyrocket and join the greats.
Not only on the French front, as 20% of selected startups are foreign founded.
Roxanne Varza insisted on the importance given to woman founders, as they account for 35% of total incubated projects.
One of the Future 40, 50inTech, actually based their concept on matching women with the tech ecosystem.
The first edition of Future 40 unveiled great potential and points to the right direction.
The hype is real and all we need is time to see how well these champions will shine ;)
